These terms and conditions are bound to be agreed by one who (the Service recipient) hire the moving services offered by Best Auckland Removals.
These terms and conditions will be enforced with the services you may take.
1.Acceptance of Goods
1.1. Best Auckland Removals accepts goods for carriage only upon these terms and conditions:
1.2. For all house/office moves, furniture relocation, and general freight movement, where prices are quoted based on information provided by the customer, Best Auckland Removals reserves the right to modify prices if there are discrepancies in the volume, dimensions, weight, Packing or access conditions (e.g., stairs, balconies) differing from the information provided at the time of booking. Additional charges may be incurred for redirection, multi-route moves, additional labor, storage, etc.
1.3. An extra charge may apply for heavy or oversized items such as spa pools, pianos, pool tables, or any other similar commercial items. It is the customer's responsibility to inform Best Auckland Removals if the move includes such items.
1.4. If the Movers deem any goods unsafe to transport or insufficiently packaged, they reserve the right to reject the acceptance of such goods.
1.5. The company reserves the right to change, reschedule, delay, or cancel the customer’s job due to unforeseen circumstances without waiving any charges. In the event of a delay exceeding two hours, the customer will be informed, and a mutual decision will be made at the company’s discretion.
1.6. The Customer shall not provide any of the following items to Best Auckland Removals for packing, removal, or storage:
- Dangerous, corrosive, inflammable, explosive, or damaging substances, or any items likely to encourage pests.
- Jewellery, watches, precious stones, metals, money, deeds, securities, stamps, coins, or similar valuables.
- Prohibited or stolen goods, drugs/medicines, aerosols, paints, firearms, or ammunition.
- Refrigerators or deep freezers containing goods (customers are responsible for emptying, defrosting, and cleaning).
- Animals, including pets, birds, or fish.
1.7. The Customer must notify Best Auckland Removals of any access restrictions to the property from which goods are to be removed. The Customer is responsible for providing adequate and safe access for the truck and movers. If there are access restrictions, additional charges may apply.
2. Insurance and Liability
2.1. **No Insurance Coverage Provided by Best Auckland Removals**
Best Auckland Removals does not provide any insurance coverage for the goods being moved. It is the responsibility of the Customer to arrange for insurance coverage.
3. Payment Terms
3.1. All residential and non-credit account moves are payable via cash, cheque, or credit card on the same day of move unless pre-arranged with management. Commercial office moves may allow up to 7 days credit as per the comment while
3.2. A 3% fee applies to credit card payments (Visa and MasterCard) to cover processing charges.
3.3. Payment is required prior to unloading the final item(s), and a late fee of $50.00 + GST will apply for any overdue payments.
3.4. Defaulting accounts will be sent to a third-party debt collection service at the Customer’s expense.
4. Misconduct and Unacceptable Behavior
4.1. Any misconduct or unacceptable behavior directed at any member of the Best Auckland Removals staff may result in the termination of the booking at the company's discretion.
Our fees are charged as follows:
a)Service will be charged as per our hourly rates
b)A call-out fee or fuel charges will be applicable, whichever are agreed with you prior to the commencement of the Move. In determining the fees payable to us under these terms and conditions, our Services and the Move commence at the time we arrive at the first address and complete at the time you pay all fees owing to us and sign the booking sheet in accordance with condition 5(c).
c)We reserve the right to ask you to make the payment upfront or during the Move or you must pay all fees owing to us immediately on completion of the Move else we have the right to store the goods in our custody until the payment is cleared.
Cancellation of a booking must be completed before 48 business hours prior to the date of booking. Any cancellations after this time will be subject to a charge equal to the call out and return fee for that particular booking.
5. Cancellation Policy
5.1. A cancellation fee of $150.00 applies unless a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is given via email.
5.2. For same-day cancellations, a fee equivalent to 2 hours of the scheduled service will be charged.
These terms and conditions are subject to change and are governed by the **Contract and Commercial Law Act 2017**.
